Integrated MIPS (Multi-Directional Impact Protection System) - MIPS is designed to reduce rotational forces that can result from certain impacts. By integrating the MIPS slip plane into the retention system, we are able to reduce complexity and weight for a compact, better ventilated helmet that fits more closely to the head.
Fusion In-Mold polycarbonate shell - A process pioneered by Bell bonds the helmet's outer shell to the EPS foam liner to create a sturdier helmet.

Fits well on my large head. I like the adjuster on the back as it allows alteration for wearing balaclava underneath. Forgot about it when riding which is ideal. Seems substantial, much more so than my old one and oh what a lovely colour...blue. No negs so far.

excellent value for money
This is my second bell4forty mips helmet i had a big crash a few weeks ago and managed to walk away batter and bruised. I had no hesitation in ordering another helmet as this saved me from injury. Ordered the helmet and it arrived the next day , great quality and service highly recommend this helmet
